Collaborating with Kingdom Life Church, we're excited to be launching our first alternative provision in Newcastle. From the 21st October 2024, we'll be offering local adults the opportunity to grow their confidence through 'Hands-on learning in Heaton'.

Working alongside our Tutors, Bill and Sue, Learners will be able to build new practical skills through work-based training in workshop, kitchen and retail environments. Unlike our offers in Sunderland and Teesside, the training is non-accredited, allowing for a simpler, tailored experience for those looking for a stepping stone to further learning or employment opportunities.

If you're a Newcastle resident, over 18 years old and keen to move forward, you can access free work based training to help you progress at your own pace.

Hands-on learning in Heaton is a four week programme, delivered in small groups on Monday and Tuesdays. There are two pathways to choose from, Carpentry or Hospitality. Both pathways provide the opportunity to learn new skills in a community setting and Tutors can signpost you to further support if required.

Note: This is a rolling programme with limited spaces.
